November is the month when Turin traditionally celebrates contemporary art (yes, I know, not everybody’s choice when it comes to entertainment), with lots of events usually organized and promoted by the Contemporary Art Foundation Torino Piemonte. This year, some of Turin’s museums adhere to the Night of Contemporary Arts initiative and will remain open on the evening of Saturday, November 5th, from 18.00 to 23.00 (last entry at 22.00) with a special fare – 1 EURO tickets.
- Palazzo Madama: both Grazia Toderi & Orhan Pamuk’s “Words and Stars” Installation and the photography exhibit “On the Front Line”
- GAM (Gallery of Modern Art): 1 EURO entrance to the “Organismi” Show, the “The Passion according to Carol Rama” Exhibition and to the permanent collections
- MAO (Museum of Oriental Art): free admission to visit the “Ye Shanghai” Installation
- Museum of Cinema at Mole Antonelliana: reduced admission fee, from 20.00 to 23.00; guided tour at the Gus van Sant Exhibition (Italian only) at 5 EURO + entrance fee; guided tour of the museum’s permanent collections at 6 EURO + entrance fee.
