Ludovico Einaudi

“That’s “Elements”. If it were not music, it would be a map of thoughts, sometimes clear, sometimes overlapping, points, lines, shapes, fragments of a never-ending internal dialogue.” (Ludovico Einaudi)

After two and a half years of long wait, Turin’s favorite son Ludovico Einaudi comes back with a brand new album entitled “Elements”. Although it might seen difficult to imagine it could surpass the international success he had with his previous  “Time Lapse”, the new album consists of 12 enthralling tracks growing one on top of & from the others, and featuring, as usually, an eclectic mix of piano, strings, percussion, guitar and electronics.

Born from Einaudi’s desire to start anew, the “Elements” were inspired from wondrous things such as the myths of creation, the periodic table of the elements, the geometric figures of Euclid, the works of Kandinsky, different “material” sounds usually going unnoticed, but also from the colors, the grass blades caressing the wind in wild meadow.

Moreover, the maestro himself will embark upon an Italian tour that will also reach Milan – at Teatro Dal Verme, from December 8th to December 13th, 2016. That’s almost an entire week of pampering your ears with a rich, layered combination of acoustic, electric and electronic sounds. In a city that’s just a stone’s throw away from Turin. Definetly on my “TO DO” list.
